Reflective writing on project work

To begin with, throughout the whole academic year we learned a lot and I obviously did a lot of things. This course itself is unique because of the project works that are done every month. Teacher divides us to various groups than give tasks and this method makes us learn how to work in a team. In my opinion, the assignment about making a video on a city for tourists was the most interesting. We were divided into groups of 2 and were given a task to make a video introducing our city to tourists, in a type of video guide. The moment I heard about it, I was surrounded by various ideas for the video and got overwhelmed by them. One of those ideas was to visit metro and show the most beautiful stations. My friend suggested to visit ancient buildings. We were totally enjoying it. When it comes to plus and minuses we got from doing this project work, I can only think about the advantages. For instance, we had amazing 2 days of sightseeing and traveling around our own city which was really fun and while preparing speech we got to learn the things we did not know until that time and that was useful for us. On the other hand, weather was really hot and we had to be on the streets for a whole day. At first, we collected ideas as a preparation, got introduced with the information we needed to use in the video and picked two days to actually take the shots, then left one of our days to edit the video material. It was not as easy as it seems, we had some hardships too, however it was fun for both of us.

In conclusion, this kind of assignment help students to grow both as a group and also as a independent student. We learned to respect each other’s opinions while giving own one’s too. However, if I could do this again I would let some foreigners as a guest in the video, I feel like that would be more interesting for the viewer.
