Military time:

hours but, rather, identifies hours of the day by the sequence of their occurrence (1–24). For example,

If guests are consistently unhappy with the detail provided on their folios, the FOM
should work closely with the PMS vendor, the controller’s office, and the night auditor
to ensure that the information guests require, and that the hotel wishes to provide, is
clear and easy to understand.
Bucket Check
As an important and initial part of posting room charges to guests’ folios, the night
auditor must verify data accuracy. This is done through a process called the bucket
check, which is simply a procedure to ensure that all folio postings are correct.
Buckets, the traditional name used for the place where folios were stored, are no
longer used by most hotels to hold guest folios. Instead, folios exist in the hotel’s
PMS. Nevertheless, it is important for night auditors to verify that the room rate
charged a guest is, in fact, the correct rate. This is also true in the case of share with
room rates.
