INTRODUCTION 
 
Rushon-Basid-Savnob road of Republican importance in Bartang 
valley, with the length of 150 km (of which 16, 7 kilometers are coated 
with asphalt, 133,7 kilometers are coated with crushed stone) provides 
traffic between mountainous villages, as well as provides access to Du-
shanbe – Kulma pass Road – to the border with China, runs in complex 
mountain terrain along Chizevdara, Ravmeddara, Bartang, Devloh, 
Bardara and Murgab Rivers. 
The growth of the level of freight with poor financing of repair and 
maintenance of the road, as well as intensive existing of floods brings to 
destruction of the structures and separate road sections. Rehabilitation of 
Rushan – Basid – Savnob road in Bartang valley will provide normal 
traffic between settlements, situated along the road, as well as district 
and regional centers. 
With the purposes of bringing road to the requirements of effective 
technical norms it is necessary to execute the following kind of works: 
-to rehabilitate the geometric parameters of roadbed at the whole 
stretch of road; 
-to rehabilitate and reconstruct the structures; 
-construction and in some cases the rehabilitation of retaining 
walls and other engineering structures
