CALL for Ancient Languages: Methodological Challenges
Bio data
After graduating in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, I enjoyed a varied public 
sector career which included working as a Mathematics, Statistics and Computing lecturer 
in higher education, taking responsibility for performance monitoring for a police force, 
optimizing targeting of heart disease interventions for a National Health Service Trust, 
and delivering online services for a local government authority. In 2007, I began 
studying the Classics alongside my local government post and completed a BA 
Humanities and Classical Studies with the Open University. I followed this with a full 
time MA Classics and Ancient History at the University of Manchester and returned to the 
Open University to take up a studentship in Education and Educational technology in 
2012. I am now in the data collection phase of my PhD in eLearning for Ancient 
Languages.
