The responsible person can be on liable on convic-
tion on indictment to a fi ne (not limited), or to imprison-
ment for a term not exceeding two years or both.
Any person can be liable to:

on conviction on indictment to a fi ne (not limited) 
for an offence where that failure places one or more 
relevant people at risk of death or serious injury in 
case of fi re
➤
on summary conviction to a fi ne at standard levels 3 
or 5 depending on the particular offence.
In general, where an offence is committed by a body cor-
porate is proved to have been committed with the con-
sent or connivance of any director, manager, secretary or 
other similar offi cer of the body corporate they as well as 
the body corporate is guilty of that offence, Article 32 (9).
