THE PROBLEMS OF TEACHING ENGLISH LANGUAGE

ANNOTATION : This article is dedicated teaching English as a foreign 
language and why learners are interested in learning English.It also discusses why 
teachers have difficulties with teaching English language, and what they should do to 
facilitate the teaching process. It also deals with a set of strategies and methods that 
teachers can apply as instruments to improve their students’ learning English.
English language is a global language. Learning English improves the 
individual’s status and opportunites in education, technology, global trades, and 
business. Teaching English as a foreign language is a general issue and researchers 
have investigated problems in all aspects of teaching process. The students belong to 
different countries where the English language is not a native language , they learn the 
English language as a second language. Nowadays learning the English language is 
very important for the students.They join different institutes for learning the English 
language.Where the English teachers teach the English language to them. Teaching the 
English language to non- English speakers is not an easy job for the teachers. The 
quality of a good teacher is to recognize the problems and facilitate the best ever 
environments for the students and encourage them to learn.[1]
Teaching English has been an important issue in countries where English is 
not their first language , so learning second language, is difficult for L2 learners 
because they cannot use English in real life situations, because they should learn 
sentence in textbooks, not in real environments. Therefore, teachers should always 
look for useful strategies to reduce the difficulties of teaching English language and 
they have to deal with many challenges and often have questions, about the best ways 
to teach.Mostly the teachers faced some kind of disturbing environment in teaching 
the English language:
Limited teaching resources - not only the English language, teaching anything 
mostly depends on the resources. Mostly the teachers faced this kind of problem, the
