Documents are the most reliable source of information. Internet site research (IS) differs 
significantly from the method of document analysis, since IP is a "non-traditional" type of 
sociological documents. Firstly, the information on the IS, being dynamic, is constantly being 
transformed, supplemented, and erased, which is called a "living document". Secondly, IP is not 
a separate document, but a collection of separate information combined into a single information 
resource. 
The proposed classification of methods for collecting sociological information using ICT, 
according to the authors, will allow the researcher to more specifically determine the possibilities 
and limitations, advantages and disadvantages of various polling technologies and data collection 
methods. Based on the specifics of the proposed study, the tasks set and the available resources, 
the researcher chooses one method or another for collecting sociological information. Such a 
choice will allow the creation of information resources for the effective management of the real 
sector of the economy, the regulation of social processes, and the development of state 
development programs. as well as the effective functioning of the mechanism for managing the 
improvement of the living standards of the population.
