Interrelation between life duration and selection signs of moths

On the base of table-1 figures the following conclusions can be 
made. Marvarid and Line-27 races showed nearly the same results – the 
existence of strong negative correlative relations between life duration and 
eggs hatchability of female-moths (r

= -0,984). 
Between moths life duration and larvae viability were obtained very 
close to each other figures in both races and this index is equal to r
р
= -
0,927; r
р
= -0,930. Between incidence rate and life duration of moths on 
the contrary the existence of close positive interrelation can be observed 
on obtained figures (r

= 0,985; r

= 0,900). These indices proved that as 
far as short female-moths life duration, so increases viability property and 
decreases incidence rate in their posterity.

As aforesaid, the purpose of our research is exploration of female-
moth life duration influence on cocoons productive characteristics. In 
accordance with this, we calculated correlation coefficient between 
female-moths life duration and cocoons weight in populations of two 
races. Basing on obtained results we made sure in existence of negative or 
opposite interconnections between cocoons weight and moths life 
duration. This index in Marvarid race made r
р 
= -0,857 and in Line-27 
breed was r
р 
= -0,957. The same opposite correlation coefficient was 
defined between moths’ life duration and cocoons shell weight. This index 
was equal to r
р 
= -0,861 in Marvarid race; in Line-27 strain it made r
р
= -
0,706.
Now, if we analyze interconnection between percent cocoon shell 
and moths life duration, which has great significance among cocoons 
productive characteristics, then it was obvious that this index in Marvarid 
breed was equal to r

= -0,912 and in Line-27 race was r
р 
=-0,490. 
Consequently, as far as less live female-moths so their posterities’ 
cocoons can possess by high percent cocoon shell property.
