Review some common spelling rules in English. Try saying each of the 
examples aloud.

Circle or highlight the silent letter. Rhyme

Words ending in silent E: Drop the E if 
e.g. care - caring, careful
followed by a vowel (e.g. caring), but keep 
the E if followed by a consonant (careful).
