Results and discussion
The results from the analysis of econometric models 
indicate a positive correlation between the fiscal deficit 
and the current account balance (Table-5). Namely, an 
improvement of the fiscal balance by 1% has a positive 
effect on the current account balance of 0.34-0.35% with 
5% statistically significant level according to p-value 
and t-test, or vice versa. Our econometric results support 
Keynesian theory and in the same line with the results of 
Tang and Lau (2011) and S. M. Ali Abbas et al. (2011).
