Section Objective:
Provide details about how a PMS can help the FOM to forecast
demand and price the rooms inventory.
Section Summary:
The PMS tracks the number of each type of room available for
sale at any point in time, from the current moment to a future date limited by the
length of the period for which reservations are taken. Current and future data can
be compared with historical data to help FOMs determine pricing strategies such
as increasing, maintaining, or decreasing prices based on room availability.
