for and to be potentially successful in the position might be reinterviewed, or offered
a position. At this point, the new front office employee will be looking for confirma-
tion that his or her decision to accept a position was a good one. The FOM’s
actions—and inactions—will have an impact on the new employee’s first impressions
about the job, which are formed at the time of orientation and training.
