Position that requires little previous experience in or knowledge of job
tasks and whose incumbents do not direct the work of other staff members.
European Plan (EP)
Room rate that does not include guest meals.
E-wholesaler
Room reseller that obtains reduced (wholesale) room prices and inventory
commitments directly from a hotel or through an agreement with the hotel’s corporate
brand managers. The wholesaler then publishes “retail rates” on its Web sites, usually 
at a mark-up of 20 percent to 40 percent. Examples include Travelocity, hotels.com,
TravelWeb, and Expedia.
