Surviving the Blackout Ada has been with the hotel in Detroit’s Renaissance Center for more than 13 years. She began in the PBX department and
eventually became its trainer. In this capacity, Ada trained new staff and coached her more experienced associates. She
became the hotel’s room controller in 2003. Ada has taken classes from the American Institute of Banking and has participated
in many training programs offered by the property since her employment there.
