NU News, a glossy news magazine, was "justifiably cancelled ... [being]
an incredibly
boring and expensive magazine using archaic layout and design" and NU Chronicle
was revamped in terms of design, scope and target readership (Tomaselli and Louw
1988). Kemp said that the problem with the "notices" publications - Campus Events
for example - was that they were perceived to be scruffy and haphazard (Interview
23/1/92).
