Objects

In  object–oriented  programing,  the  objects  are  entities  that  exhibit  both

state and behavior. An object is a specific item that belongs to a class ; it is called

an instance  of  a  class.  The  object  state  is  shown  in  the  form  of  one  or  more

variables and its behaviour is implemented using functions (or methods).

Each  object  consists  of  data  and  code  to  manipulate  the  data.  While

communicating with other objects, they need not know each other’s details. They

need  to  know,  only  the  type  of  message  sent  and  the  type  of  response  received.

Objects can be represented in two ways as shown in figure 1.3.
