YOUNG TOURISTS
.Akmal Karimov aild his brother Ikrom went on a long walk­ing tour during their summer holidays. Qn the first day evening they-stopped at a river and decided to make a camp. Akmal had studied many books on camping and wanted to put his theories .into practice¹ and to teach his brother how to make a camp.
At first they began to look for their tent-When they found a dry place, they cleared the ground of stones and roots. When the tent was up², they made a bed of soft grass. Then they prepared a place for the fire. Before unpacking the provisions they gathered plenty of dry wood and filled their pots with water. Then they opened the provision bags and get everything ready" for cooking the meal. They peeled potatoes, minced meat and opened their tins.
When that was done. they built fire⁴. In forty minutes the meal was ready because everything had been well prepared".
Before sitting down " to supper, .they put a pot of water on 1he fire for dish-washing. One must never forget sucli thiings. So Akmal put the theory on camping Into practice; everything was done in time and that night they had a good rest. The next morning they continued their tour.
