Mark Twain Is one of the greatest novelists and short story writers He Is very popular in the He was born in the South of the United States of America. His real name is Samuel Langhorne Clemens¹ He spent his boyhood in the small town of Hanibal² on the Mississippi River. The waters of this great river were his. playground. He could easily swim .across the Mississippi arid was the leader in all the boys' games.
When he was twelve, his father died in poverty. After his father's death he left school and went to work. For ten years Twain worked as a printer in different towns and cities of America.
