In 1858 Faraday finished his work and moved to a com­fortable house outside London — a rest he deserved, don't you think? He was still very interested in science but his health weakened and lie died there peacefully in 1867.
Faraday made discoveries because he had faith in what he was doing and he worked very hard, and you know, these two qualities are necessary for everyone who wants to make his life a success. Moreover, Faraday, was extremely intelligent but you see, he did not work just for his own pleasure or ambition but for the good of society. And that's why we remember him.

ABOUT ENGLISH PROPER NAMES
There was a time in England when John, Fred or Wil­liam was the only name a person had. As villages were small and people were few, one name wss enough to identity a person. Bat as people became more and more numerous it was difficult to identify anyone by only the name. There were two Williams and people mixed them up. After a while they perhaps began to call one William the tailor, because of his occupation, and the other William the brown, because of his dark hair. By and by the was dropped and the two men became William Taylor and William Brown. The children of the two men all had different first names, but kept the name of their fathers as second names.
There were probably two Fred who played together. Not to mix these two Fred up, their neighbours call one Fred Richard's son, and the other Fred John's son. So their names were Fred Richardson and Fred Johnson. So Richardson and Johnson had become surnames.
There are many ways in which English names originated, so many that whole books have been written about them, here we can give only a Hew.
