Relevance - Stroke is an extremely important medical and social problem, since it is a frequent cause of disability in patients, caused in most cases by motor disorders. It is moving in "big strides" and by 2030 it will assume the character of a pandemic.
- Against the background of the noticeable successes of vascular neurology in the struggle for the life of a patient with a stroke, the stage of post-hospital rehabilitation lags significantly behind. Even if the patients survive, more than 50% of them do not restore their everyday independence, only 10% of patients return to work, the rest become disabled, and this is a big socio-economic problem.
Recovering from a stroke is a task that requires an integrated approach, the participation of both doctors of many specialties and the patient himself and his relatives. But consistent and persistent rehabilitation is capable of, if not returning the patient to his previous lifestyle completely, then allowing him to maintain independence and prevent the development of severe complications and repeated relapses. - Recovering from a stroke is a task that requires an integrated approach, the participation of both doctors of many specialties and the patient himself and his relatives.
