5. Explain the meaning of the phraseological unit Achille’s heel; between Scylla and Charybdis; a bed of roses; to burn the candle at both ends; a place under the sun; climb a sour tree; an eager beaver and tell the history of its emerging.
6. Group work (8 groups). Using the Internet and mobile phones find out the phraseological units 1) related to the names of characters in the English literature; 2) representing English customs and traditions; related to the names of famous people; 3) related to Bible and Christian religion; 4) phraseological units connected with English realia; 5) representing English traditions and customs; 6) related to English narratives; 7) taken from ancient Greek and Rome myths; 8) taken from other languages. Each group present their phraseological units and explain their meaning.
7. Write a small scientific article (2-3 pages) on the etymological problems of phraseological units in English and Uzbek languages. Do a small research on the issue of phraseologisms in both languages. Compare the phraseological units in different spheres.
