Enhancing wool products using
nanotechnology

Abstract: This chapter describes the application of nanotechnology to textile
fibres, with an emphasis on wool fibres. The chapter includes a description
of nanotechnology, explores some common misconceptions and reviews
current uses of nanoparticles on textile fibres. The use of nanotechnology on
wool fibres is then reviewed and current commercial applications described.
