Liteature of Temurid’s period
Alisher Navoi. His real name is Nizomiddin Mir Alisher. He wrote his poems under the pen-name of Navoi (in his poems which were written in the old Uzbek language) and Foni ( in his poems which poems which were written in Persian language). Navoi is a great Uzbek poet, a representative of the Uzbek literature in the West. He was born in Heart and spent the main part of his life there. Navoi’s family was close to Timurid’s palace. According to the information of great historian Homdamir an old poet Lutfi met with Alisher Navoi when he was a child and Lutfi appreciated his talent.
Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur was born in 1483, February 14, in Andijan. He was the fifth generation of Amir Temur. In 1494 when Bobur was only 12 years old, he became a ruler. In 1503-1504 he conquered Afghanistan. During 1519-1525 he tried to conquer India five times. He became the founder of Bobur’s Empire. Which lasted more than there centuries (1526-1858). He died in 1530, December 26, in Agra. His grave was in Agra but then it was brought to Kabul.
Literature of Jadid’s period
Mahmudho’ja Behbudiy is one of the leaders of Jadidism action in Turkistan. Subsequently, his post was changed from “clerk” (mirza) to myfti. He was born in 1875 in Samarkand.
Abdulla Avloni was born on July 12^th in 1878 in Mergancha neighbourhood of Tashkent. When he was 7 he studied in an old school. Akromhon domla taught him. In 1890 he began to study in the medrassah in Mergancha. Then mullah Omar Ohun taught him at Abdumalik boys madrasah. He was interested in literature.
Sidqiy Hondayliqiy was a well-known poet, translator artist and callingrapher, author of the poems of new literary trend. He was born in the village Hondaliq of Tashkent region. In 1903 he came to Tashkent and studied in the madrasah “Beklarbegi”. His panname was also “Shavkat” and he edited works in two volumes called “Tuhfai Shavkat” (Tashkent 1913) and “Savghoti Shavkat” (Tashkent 1914). In some of his poems he used the penname “Shevan”, “Iskandariy” and later on he choosed the penname Sidqiy.
