Abstract:
The article reveals the ambiguity of the interpretation of the concept of “professional
develop-ment of a teacher” in science, the scope of its initial use, provides the names of scientists
involved in the study of this concept, and also explains the need to transfer the concept into the
field of education,
Keywords:
professional development of teaching staff, additional professional education.
Modern trends in the development of education and the professional sphere of society, as
well as trends in the formation of professionalism, are associated with an orientation toward
streng-thening teacher training. At the same time, the state’s desire to form the image of a
standard teacher is clearly manifested, which will become a kind of guarantor of achieving high
quality preschool education. The development of preschool education in modern conditions is
associated with the approval of the Federal State Educational Standard for Preschool Education
(
hereinafter - the Federal State Educational Standard
), which determined the teacher as a key
figure in the implementation of the ongoing changes and introduced new requirements for his
professional competence. In addition, for successful teaching activities, the teacher must learn
the requirements presented to him by modern society, strive for continuous professional deve-
lopment and self-development, to ensure the high quality of professional activity. As the main
problems, scientists distinguish “the lack of a positive attitude to innovations, low psychological
read Inness for professional activity in the new economic conditions, the subjectivity of the
position that would allow him to actively manage professional development” [3, p. 53]. Before
we turn to the consideration of the concept of “professional development o f a teacher”, we
clarify the essence of the concept of “development” as one of the most significant in the context
of our study. In philosophy, development refers to the “characteristic of qualitative changes in
objects, the emergence of new forms of being, innovation and new introductions, coupled with
the transformation of their internal and external relations. Expressing, first of all, the processes
of changes, development involves preserving the (
systemic
) quality of developing objects” [17,
p.561]. S.L.Rubinstein interpreted this concept as “the development of abilities through the
generaliza-tion and consolidation of operations, actions that become curtailed, worked out,
accompanied by a qualitatively new regulatory process as the core of an acquired new state
of development” [15, p. 685]. He notes that the professional development of a person is “an
active qualitative transformation of his inner world, leading to a new way of life - creative
self realization in the profession” [17]. Thus, the analysis of the variety of interpretations of
the concept of “development” allows us to single out the following definition: development is
a qualitative character eristic testifying to the dynamics of transformations of certain qualities
of a person’s personality. Consider the concept of “professionalism.” Professionalism is not
just the highest level of theoretical knowledge, practical skills of the results of human activity
in a particular area, a certain systemic organization of conscious-ness of the human psyche,
which includes the following components: properties of the person as a subject of activity;
his motivation; attitude to yourself, people, activities; emotionality, creativity, presentation of
a combination of personal professional qualities; his movements, techniques, actions, abilities,
skills, operations, system of operations; awareness of the profession; professional and theo-retical
knowledge; psychodynamics (
the intensity of experiences, the speed of their change
), psycho-
logical difficulties of the load of this professional field [19]. In our opinion, the professionalism
of an employee is, first of all, the ability to analyze his professional activity, to freely operate
with con-cepts, the ability to perform various operations in a specific professional field, and the
ability to solve professional problems of a certain degree of complexity. Thus, it seems to us
that the main features of professionalism are professional excellence, competitiveness, the need
of the individual to understand and increase the beauty of work emanating from the internal
needs of the individual, high civic maturity, responsibility, a sense of civic duty. Let us turn to
the term “professional development”. In the studies of A. Maslow, the concept of professional
development is considered, where self-actualization as a person’s desire to improve, express,
