Assessment of the investment attractiveness of the enterprise is carried out 
in the following areas: 
- nature of the business 
- external environment 
- quality management 
- nature of activity

The influence of internal (and not only financial) and external factors on 
the investment attractiveness of the enterprise and on the nature of its change 
depending on these factors is considered. 
The selection of parameters is due to the fact that banks and rating 
agencies, when assessing financial independence, investment attractiveness and 
creditworthiness, most often use these factors in order to conduct a multilateral 
analysis and outline a clearer picture of the current situation of the enterprise. 
For example, such parameters as ownership structure, life cycle phase, company 
information, and business diversification are not calculated, but their value is 
great, because the good business reputation of the company, growth and 
development prospects, as well as a strong market position have a positive 
influence the general situation of the enterprise, thereby reducing possible 
financial and operational risks. 
The methodological approach considers not only the financial condition of 
the enterprise -  one of the most important criteria for assessing risk, but also 
evaluates the non-financial components of external and internal factors. 
At the third stage, the principles of investment policy are developed (Table 
9), indicators and criteria necessary for making investment decisions (Table 10). 
Making decisions about investments should be carried out in four phases of 
investment analysis: identifying opportunities, collecting information for making 
decisions, choosing alternatives, and monitoring the implementation of 
investment decisions. 
At any phase of the investment analysis, the investor may decide to invest 
or cancel it. 
Even when the project is funded, there are options for withdrawing 
investments from it. This can happen if the  cost of income from its future 
operation is less than the cost of abandoning such a project. 
The investment policy has its own development algorithm, which includes 
three stages, the specifics of the phases of the enterprise life cycle, certain 
criteria for making investment decisions. This type of financial policy is being 
developed to strengthen the competitiveness of the enterprise and increase its 
investment attractiveness.
