1. The turnover of stocks, accounts payable and receivables, the duration of 
the operating and financial cycles. Permissible level of doubtful and bad 
debts in the total amount of sales 
2. The working capital ratio and the sufficiency of own sources to cover it 
3. Risks of investments in working capital. The share of short-term financial 
investments in the temporarily free cash balance 
4. The system of ratios for liquidity and profitability of current assets and 
their required level 
 
The principles and conditions underlying the formation of policies are 
developed considering the phase of the life cycle of the enterprise, as well as to 
strengthen its financial situation. 
Four main indicators are distinguished, allowing to evaluate the 
implementation of the policy. 
1. The implementation of the working capital management policy will be 
primarily assessed by the established duration of the production and financial 
cycle, the turnover of accounts payable and receivable. 
The total amount of working capital of the enterprise is wrapped during the 
operating cycle.  Part of the operating cycle is the financial cycle. Only own 
working capital is involved in it (Figure 6). From the duration of the financial 
cycle depends on the needs of the enterprise in sources of financing. 
The formula for determining the duration of  the financial cycle is as
