My first day at school

  My first day at school.
  

1.Before my first day I was quite scared of my new school.
2.When I arrived at the school gate,my new teacher was waiting for us.
3.Mr.Jones looked very kind and friendly and I decided that I liked him.
4.He asked me to sit next to a boy who became my best friend.
5.In the morning break we ran around the playground with some other children.
6.After lunch we did maths and I realized it was my favourite subject.
7.Finally,the bell went and it was time to go home.
A life touched by history.
1.Betty Barr has lived a life touched by the history of China.
2.She was born in Shanghai on 1933 to an American mother and a father from Scotland.
3.At that time Scotland was an exciting city filled with people from many countries.
4.But all this changed during the second world war and Betty and her family spend two and half a year in a prison camp in the city.
5.A few year after the war over ,Betty went to Wellesley college ,a famous university in America.
6. However Betty missed China and she applied for a job in Hong Kong where she taught from1959 to 1972 and learnt to speak Cantonese,the local language.
7.In the early 80s,she finally returned to Shanghai where still lives with her Shanghai husband,George Wang.

1.Carol thought she was a very good actrees.
2.So she decided to go to Hollywood to follow her life-long dream.
3.She booked her trip to go there before she could change her mind.
4.When she arrived she found a very nice hotel right in the middle of town.
5.The next day she made appointments to see as many directions as possible.
6.She saw four on her first day and was offered a part at her last appointment.
7.Now everyone knows her because she is a really famous film star and is happy.

1.When Sam was a young boy he went on a school trip to the seaside.
3. When they arrived they visited the town and ate ice-cream.
4.In the afternoon it got so hot,they decided to go for a swim.
5.While they were swimming around,Sam felt something touch his leg.
6.He thought it was a big fish and ran out of the water shouting.
7.His friends laughted at him because it was just a piece of wood.
