The Independence Day
One of the great holiday of our people is the Independence day. This holiday is widely celebrated on the 1th of September every year. As we know the Independence of Uzbekistan was declared on August 31, 1991. After Uzbekistan had become an Independent state many changes underwent in its foreign and home politics.Uzbekistan has its own constitution anthem, flaf and emblem. Uzbekistan became the member of the united Nations Organization on Mare h 2, 1992. Uzbekistan has its own major principles of foreign and home politics. More than 130 developed countries of the world admitted Uzbekistan as an Independent state. Uzbekistan maintains economic and cultural relations with the USA, Japan, Great Britain, France, Germany, Turkey and many others. From year to year the number of joint - ventures, new plants, factories embassies is increasing in our republic.
The national flag of the Uzbekistan
The flag of our country is a symbol of state sovereignty of the republic. The national flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a symbol of the Republic of Uzbekistan in all states when visiting foreign countries by official delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as on conferences, world exhibition and sport competitions. The national flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a right-angled coloured cloth consisting of three horizontal stripes: blue, white and green colour. Blue colour is the symbol of the sky and water which are the main sources of the life. Mainly the blue colour was the colour of the state flag of Amir Temur. The white colour is the traditional symbol of peace and good luck, as Uzbek people say “ Ок йул” (word for word “white road” means “Happy journey” ) Green colour is the colour of nature and new life, and good harvest. Two thin red stripes mean the power of life. There is a new born moon which means the newly born independent republic. There are twelve stars which mean that there are 12 provinces (viloyats) in Uzbekistan.
The national emblem of the Uzbekistan
The state emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan presents the image of the rising sun over the flourishing valley. We can also see the wheat ears and branches of cotton there.
The eight-angled star in the emblem symbolizes the unity of the republic. There are also the sacred symbols of the Moslems. The legendary bird Semurg is in the centre of the Emblem as the Emblem as the symbol of the national rebirth. Behind the composition written in the Uzbek language “Uzbekistan”
