- What skills and personal qualities do you have?
- What are your achievements and experiences?
- How do you show the strengths of your personality in life?

Tip #1 - Know the general format of a Motivation Letter
Main Points (Body) Conclusion Focus on: you, your strengths, and explain why you chose this program and university Tip #2: Brainstorm - Before you write anything, Brainstorm everything you want to say about yourself.
- Remember they don’t know you. Take your time and collect all the information about you.
- What do you know about the university?
- Why are you interested in their courses?
- What are their values and vision as a school?
- Mention- “I would like to ------”

TIP #4 Praise yourself - This is the time to highlight who your are.
- What do you bring to the program? Leader qualities? High academic performance?
- What would you like to improve?
- How will this program help you achiever your goals in the future?
- Don’t just say “This program will help me achieve my goals in the future.”
- Show how it will help you. “This program offers a variety of advanced courses in Economics that allow me to develop my understanding of …”
- “I am a good leader.”
- “I organized and led a group of fellow students on a cultural field trip to the historic town of Kokand.”
Tip #6 Write clearly - Write simply and fluently.
- Let your writing flow naturally.
- “This program is my cup of tea.” Why is this not an appropriate sentence?
Tip #7 Be Interesting - What is unique about you?
- Think about the readers who have to read hundreds of Motivation Letters.
- What can you say that will stick in their minds and help them remember you?
- This one page requires a lot of thought, writing, and revising before you have a final copy.
- You should write several drafts and edit.
- Have someone read it before you send it to check grammar, spelling, and word usage.
Tip #8 Be Positive - Always focus on your strengths and what you want to learn/experience/give back.

- Fourth paragraph: Explain your future plans.
Conclusion - Briefly summarize your main points.
- “I believe I’d be a good fit for the program because _____”
- “Thank you for considering my application, I look forward to your positive response. ”
