Activity 3: Discussion. Objective; To increase stidents’ ability to discuss to improve their listening and speaking skills Time: 25 minutes. Materials _________ Procedure. Ask students to divide in 2 groups. Ask them to choose one topic for the discussion. Give them 5 minutes. First group should think about pros of the topic the second should find out the cons of the topic.Discuss that topic .
Giving feedback: (5 mins) Give feedback to the whole class for their participation.
Summarizing and giving homework: assign students and give homework to the students for the next lesson .
Questions: 1 What did the man purchase earlier? 2 Why did he buy the gift? 3 Why did he revisit there? 4 What did he want? 5 Why can’t he get the money back? 6 What can he do with it? 7 What ould he like to buy as an exchange? 8 What brand of MP3 did he want to buy? 9 What is the problem with the MP3? 10 What did he argue for?
Critical review
“Literary literacy? ” article was written by John Hodgson in 2019. It was published on 20 may 2019 in “English in Education” which is a reaserch journal of the National Association for the Teaching of English. This article reveals all the meaning of literacy, its background meaning, paradigms , developments and comments about it.
This article traces the meaning of literacy to broaden in education. Firstly, John Hodgson pays attention it is originally meaning and defenitions of literacy and then he reveals paradigms of it. 1- In this article, John Hodgson provides lots of investigations and comments . 2-The article demostrates lots of educative works belong to literary and literacy of researches. For example, Bearne, Cliff Hadges, William Lovett, Simon, Margaret Mackey, David, Lewkovic, Ghozal Kazim, Brenton Doecke, Andrew McCallum Karen Lockney and others.
I should mention is that when I read this article first time I found it a bit difficult to understand because it is full of quotations and comments of researchers but I read it more and more and it gave me lots of things. I can say, reading this article, I gained important information about literacy and I am sure this helps me improve my reading skill a lot. Everything has good and bad sides. The best thing I liked in this article is that John Hodgson submitted challenging quotations. For example, Bearne and Cliff Hodges words impressed on me. It is said that teachers had to make space to meet the needs of individual students’ development, interests and preferences. These words appealed me going ahead in my future profession. In addition to this, by reading this article I know clearly what is “literary literacy”. In a word, this article helps to deepen my own knowledge.
“Literary literacy?” is an article well worth reading and I consider it highly informative and challenging. I can say once you have read it, I am sure you will get lots of necessary things from it.

On my first practice day I went to the chair with my groupmates. And Jabborova gave us some explanations about our practice. After that, I came back and prepared for the next day . My first practice day lasted well for me

For my second practice day I have had lots of plans . And I did all of them. Firstly I went to the library with my groupmates to gather necessary information for our practice . And then we analysed them, I can say easily it will give us a huge help for our practice.

I should mention is that this day was an importans day for me because today we went to the chair again and our head of practice Tadjiyeva gave us our themes for doing our lesson plans.

Today I gathered all of useful informations belong to my lesson plans. And I prepared to write them this day lasted nicely.

In this day I began to wite my first lesson plan to be hosent, it was a bit difficult for me. But I was able to do very well by my background knowladge.

My second lesson plan was planning a news report for doing this I did not have any difficulty.In a word I did it easily.

I wake up early this day . And I began to work on my lesson plan in the morning. First I did brainstorming and then wrote it. I had no problems with doing it.

Today was difficult day for me. Because I had lots of houseworks in my house, And until the evening I could not look at my lesson plan but at night I managed to do my lesson plan.

Finally I came into doing my last lesson plan. Its module was methodology I had to write lesson plan for teaching listening . It was also my course work theme so I had no difficulty to do it. This day lasted easily for me .

Although today’s weather was sanny a bit tiring. We went to the university to meet with Tadjiyeva she accepted my lesson plans and at that time she told us our mistakes and shortcomings of them . After having my lesson plans checked, I came back and had a rest.

Yesterday I had my lesson plans checked so today I spend my time to correct my mistakes and I had to add same necessary things into my lesson plans in this day.

Today I planned my day I went to the “Barkamol avlod” to know when english lessons happen and ask to observe them they give me a permission and also I printed observation blanks for tomorrow.

In the morning I prepared to go to the “Barkamol avlod” I was a bit worried about it because it was a first time to observe the lesson for me. But when I observed the lesson I understand that it was an easy thing. And I liked observing this lesson very much.

Today I also had observation so I went to the lesson it lasted 40 minutes But I was very tired and I had a headache. Because children did lots of noise during this time. Aand teacher could not control the class.

My third observation lasted very interestuoly. It was informativ and attractive for pupils and also me. I liked this lesson and I got lots of necassary things from it.

Today I also went to “Barkamol avlod” to observet he lesson it took me only an hour. But at this time I gained needful things for my practice. Today lasted usefully for me like other days.

My last observation was the best observation for me I learned fresh activitus from this lesson. In addition to this, during this lesson teacher paid attention all the things and control the class. I can say this lesson had a big impression on me.

At last I finished my observations. And I went to the universuty to deliver them to tadjiyeva she took the blanks from me. And she told us to prepare our critical review in 3 days.

Today I got up early to begin writing my critical review. For it searched educational articles from the net. I triedto find new one and finally I came up with “literary literacy?” article I spent more time to read and understand this because it was big and a bit difficult for me.

After gathering necessary things and doing brainstorming I began to write critical review for educational article Unit the evening, I finished writing this article.

Today was our last practice day. In the morning we went to the university to present all of things we did. Tadjiyeva accepted our file checking them. She was pleased with our portfolio. Finally we finished our practice. Until september we will have a good holiday.
Reflective writing.
I expected lots of challenges from the practice before beginning. At first I personally thought that process of practice became a bit difficult for us because of being first time during 3 years. Until our third course we did not have any practice so that it seemed complicated but while this practice, I expoce plenty of winning challenges which can help me achieve success in my future occupation. To add this, another expectation from the practice was that I thought we had to spend more time at university during these hot summer days. Of course it could influence on our practice badly. However, we had to visit university twice or 3 times a week to take necessary advices, explanation and tasks from Tadjiyeva. And we had to spend more time at home for our practice to do our own assignments.
At the beginning of the practice our head of the chair Jabborova gave us a huge information about the practice. Next day we met Tadjiyeva the head of our practice and she explained us what to do, as well as gave us themes for lesson plans.



During this practice I had to do 5 lesson plans on 5 themes. To be honest while I was doing these lesson plans, I came up lots of difficulties especially correcting my mistakes. At that time I went to the library and discuss with my groupmates. This process lasted exciting and so needful. While discussing and analyzing practice with my groupmates at the library we shared our ideas, knowledge and also helped ourselves. An addition to this we observed the lesson truly, it was not hard for me at all. Because of summer holiday, all of schools we not open so than we had to observe the lessons of “ Barkamol avlod” . Although the lessons were simple I learned some things from these and I got pleasure. In these lessons I watched mistakes and shortcomings then analyzed them thoughly. Furthermore, I learned fresh acturities for children. I beleive these observation give me a huge help when I have to teach at school

Also I should mention is that the best thing for me among the tasks of practice was writing critical review for an acticle. 1- Though I am aware of writing review, this process gave me another challenge. 2- before beginning this action I had to choose one article while this process, I looked though lots of educational ones. To be honest the process was of great interest and pleasure to me. The article I chose gave me many new things. Through it, I learned to analyze texts, and how to express my thoughts and comments on it.


You can not acheive success without any challenges. So I faces lots of challenges through the practice with hurdles came hidden strengths I discovered about myself. I had to go to the university library with my groupmates lots of times to gather necassary information belong to our tasks also analyze them. By this process we worked together. As everyone had their own point of view, many different ideas could be produced and the energy of group participation made me feel more energetic about doing something. To add this, I learned that good teamwork is the key to success in doing anything. Even the simplest things on earth could be turned into something amazing. If we put creativity and effort into working on our practice. From this practice, I increased my knowledge and developed all of skills. This practice made big impression on me from every side. I am sure it will be useful for me in my future occupation.
