SUMMARY 
 
In this chapter the rationale for choice of a quantitative approach, with a combined 
quantitative and qualitative data collection methodology, is described.  The survey 
method, as the selected non-experimental method, was explained, as was the 
development and pre-testing of the quantitative and qualitative data collection 
instruments. The procedures used for finding participants and for data collection, analysis 
and presentation were explained. The discussion of the findings is presented in the next 
chapter.
