DISCUSSION
Kovach did not statistically analyze the results of his studies beyond calculating a frequency distribution.
In other words, he did not empirically test for differences. This study did. Results confirmed a statistically
significant difference in rankings between supervisors and employees for one of the ten motivating factors, “full
appreciation of work done”. In addition, a multivariate analysis of variance resulted in an overall significant
difference between how supervisors and employees ranked all motivating factors.
