Analytical and Creative Problem Solving 
Modern management and organizations simply cannot afford to be stagnant, to stick with tried-and-
true ways, or even to ignore innovation. A creative approach to problem-solving is becoming more 
important in today's society. A technique for resolving issues: 
The four categories of creativity are as follows: 
I. Incubation (long-term): build trust through empowering individuals and using cooperation and 
engagement as a foundation. 
II. Imagination (being original): experimentation, discovery, risk-taking, transformative ideas, 
revolutionary thinking, and one-of-a-kind visions. 
III. Improvement (being stronger): gradual improvements, process control, methodical techniques, 
cautious methodologies, issue clarification. 
IV. Investment (being first): achieving goals quickly, responding quicker than others, using 
competitive techniques, and attacking difficulties immediately.

Nonetheless, there are several mental impediments that make it difficult to apply creativity. They are 
known as conceptual blocks, and they come in four varieties: 
Techniques for creating different options: 
Withhold judgment: in order to come up with possibilities, Osborn's brainstorming process is the 
most often employed method. Brainstorming is a technique used to help people come up with 
answers to issues without making assumptions about them. 
Extending the scope of present options: subdivision, or separating an issue into smaller segments, 
is a practical and easily accessible strategy for extending alternate solutions. 
Use traits that don't go together well. This approach aims to assist problem solvers in exploring 
additional options by integrating previously disparate parts (morphological synthesis).
