LETTERS FROM YOUR CO-PRESIDENTS
Hi All. Spring has sprung, the grass has riz, I wonder where the birdies iz

Well, if you look around you will see lots of warblers and other migrating, hopeful but poorly informed, birds heading north. I, personally, am heading south as I have read the weather forecasts.  I will miss you all at the next luncheon, but the food choices on the menu sound delicious.

Remember to sign up for the food bank tour.  I expect it will be very interesting.  There are lots of places for an early lunch after the tour in the area.
See y’all in April.

Marilyn
This is a public service for all of you who have guests, both young and old, who want to go to Orlando’s theme parks. When my brother wanted to visit, we decided to entertain him in Orlando, not Hernando. Our plan was to have a great week without a theme park. So what did we do to stay busy?

Leu Gardens in Orlando was first. Gatorland is $9.99 for FL residents and lots of fun. The Central Florida Zoo in Sanford was delightful. For a little culture, The Orlando Museum of Art and the Cornell Museum in Winter Park, as we had done the Morse Museum on his last visit. There’s the boat ride in Winter Park, airboat rides surrounding Orlando, and mini-golf. Movies abound (with stadium seating). Then there’s outlet shopping and the afternoon at the pool. If that’s not enough – the beach is 70 minutes away, and the Kennedy Space Center, too.

What about food? We chose to have a different cuisine every day. We tried Chinese, Vietnamese, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, Indian, and Mexican. Our breakfasts out were American. No time for Korean, Ethiopian, Greek, or Thai. Guess we’ll have to spend another week there.
