   What is internet?
   

Internet is the global system of interconnected networks as was said above ( in ex 1), with the help of which peoples can search, send, copy all information that they wanted. It is the new level of distance communication, new kind of work and pleasure. Nowadays we can use it not only with a help of computers, but with the help of many type of gadgets as mobile phone and so on.

   Why internet is global phenomenon?
   

Today more than half of population uses internet. It is true that in some countries or in some towns and villages the internet services are not well working, but day by day this situation also changing. Because in our 21th century internet becoming as main type of communication and service.

   What is World Wide Web?
   

The World Wide Web (WWW), commonly known as the Web, is an information system where documents and other web resources are identified by Uniform Resource Locators (URLs, such as https://www.example.com/), which may be interlinked by hypertext, and are accessible over the Internet. The resources of the WWW are transferred via the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and may be accessed by users by a software application called a web browser and are published by a software application called a web server .English engineer and computer scientist Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web in 1989. He wrote the first web browser in 1990 while employed at CERN near Geneva, Switzerland. The browser was released outside CERN in 1991, first to other research institutions starting in January 1991 and then to the general public in August 1991. The World Wide Web has been central to the development of the Information Age and is the primary tool billions of people use to interact on the Internet.

Exercise 4

Internet is the global computer network. It connects many origins and peoples. We use internet in wide range of spheres according to the type of our purposes.

In exercise 1 I was informed about the internet- a global system of interconnected computer networks. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private and public, academic, and government networks of local to global scope that are linked by a broad array of electronic and optical networking technologies.

Here I found the information about why internet is global phenomenon in nowadays and what means the terms world wide web. And I understood from the given context that the terms internet and world wide web are not one and the same. If tell the truth, this information was quite new for me. And as I am concerned, the text was useful for me.
