Objective:
to enable students to learn new vocabulary and word phrases related to the topic
to give learners an opportunity to improve listening and speaking skills
to help students to talk about disputable questions on the theme
Pre activity 1 : Discussion
Listening
Objective: to raise students` interest on the topic and encourage them to share their personal perception of concept
Time: 10 min
Mode of interaction: whole class
Materials: video song
Procedure:
1. Show a video song about shopping ( teacher shares it with the help of zoom program)
Text of the song
I’m off to the baker to buy some bread,
Everybody’s hungry, they’re waiting to be fed.
I’m off to the toy store to buy a ball,
I like the red one the big one not small.
I’m off to the butcher’s shop to pick up some meat,
To make a nice yummy pie that we will eat.
I’m off to the shoe store to buy some shoes,
Maybe a nice sandal where you can see my toes.
I’m off to the bookstore to buy some books,
The blue book with pictures in it, I like how it looks.
I’m off to the bank to take out some money,
“You’ve spent it all” the man says, that’s not funny.
2. Teacher gives students text of the song and asks watching again and singing a song also.

Activity 2: Matching task
Objective: to introduce some new words and word phrases to students
Time: 10 min
Mode of interaction:
Materials: handout 1 for each student
Procedure:
Teacher asks students to get into pairs.
The teacher explains activity 2 “Where can I buy….?” and asks students to solve a test about it.
To make the activity interesting teacher gives 3 minutes for solving it.
The teacher checks their answers and explains the items not comprehensible for students.
Activity 3
Reading task: Reading dialogues and matching them
Objective: to reinforce students` abilities to guess the meaning of words through the context.
Time: 10 min
Material: student’s handout 3
Mode of interaction:
Procedure: Teacher explains the task. Student should read the text and then they should do matching task.
When students finish, they check answers with the whole class.
Activity 4
Complete the dialogue
Objective: to help students to reinforce what they have learned
Time: 5 min
Material: student’s hand-out 4

Procedure:
Students should complete the gaps with correct words
When students finish, they check answers with the whole class.
Activity 5 Grammar
Preposition of place
Objective: to teach students the preposition of place
Time: 15 min
Mode of interaction:
Materials: handouts
Procedure:
Teacher explains what is preposition of place and how to use them also gives their translation.
Then students in order to reinforce what they have learned teacher gives them activity about the topic, so they should make a sentence with the help of prepositions from the picture.
Activity 6 Work in pairs
Objective: to teach students to explain own opinion and help to improve their speaking skills
Time: 10 min
Mode of interaction:
Materials: handouts
Procedure:
Teacher explains activity. Then students ask from each other answer to the questions.

Home assignment
In exercise 1 students should read and match fragment in order to make a sentence.
In exercise 2 students must read the sentences in exercise 1 and draw the picture.
