AGRICULTURE
Agriculture began in the area known as the Fertile Land. The area is a hot, dry desert. But it has two of the requirements for farming: good soil and a water supply.
Many early farmers used the Nile River as a water supply. The Nile River floods at the same time every year. Farmers planted crops before the floods. This helped their plants to survive in the desert. Later, farmers created irrigation ditches. They moved water from the Nile River to their fields. They could cultivate crops any time of the year and harvest extra food. Producing extra food was important. Later, farmers fed animals with it. These domesticated animals became another important part of agriculture.
Agriculture employs only about 2% of the working population in Europe. On average, one person has less than 0.5 hectares of agricultural land. Nevertheless, Europe produces more than 75% of agricultural products consumed by the population. Fully meets the needs of barley, oats, potatoes, poultry, pork, eggs and milk. However, imports 80% butter, 65% sugar, 50% wheat and bacon, 25% consumed in the country beef and veal.

“LIVESTOCK BREEDING”
Livestock is a branch of agriculture concerned with breeding farm animals to produce livestock products. Livestock breeding provides the population with various foods (milk, meat, eggs, lard and so forth) and light industry with raw materials (such as wool, hides and bristles). It also provides the tractive force of horses, oxen, asses, mules, camels and deer. Other products of livestock breeding are organic fertilizers(manure), various kinds of fodder (skim milk, tankage, bone meal, etc.) and medicinal (therapeutic serums and hormones). The development and productivity of livestock breeding are closely linked to the development of plant life and to the intensity of land use.
Livestock breeding includes cattle breeding (dairy husbandry, dairy and beef cattle husbandry), swine breeding, sheep breeding, goat breeding, horse breeding, camel breeding, poultry breeding, fish breeding, apiculture, fur farming, mule breeding and etc.

In 1945 leaders from fifty-one countries met in San Francisco and organized the United Nations. World War II had just ended, millions of people had died, and there was destruction everywhere. People hoped they could build a future of world peace with new organization.
Today almost every country in the world is a member of the UN. Each country has signed an agreement that says that it will help the UN in its actions for international peace and human rights to all people. It also says that all members promise to solve international problems in a peaceful way, and no member will use force against another member.
