ABOUT SOME TECHNOLOGICAL 

BREAKTHROUGHS

In the 21st century IT and other industries work together 

to find some new ways to automatize our tasks and make them 

easier.  For  example  we  have  many  applications  in  medicine 

which save our lives every day. Day by day we become closer

to reaching our aim.  My research is about the newest projects 

and technologies: 

Project Loon: 

About 4 billion people in the world don’t 

have  ability  to  use  Internet.  Project  Loon  is  a  Google  project 

that  involves  sending  hot  air  balloons  to  the  stratosphere  in 

order to deliver Wi-Fi access to underserved areas.  

Braingate: John Donoghue and his team have developed 

method,  which  allows  us  to  manage  devices  by  brain  power. 

His device uses thought to move objects. This was first used on 

disable people. Many of them have a break between their brain 

and  the  rest  of  their  nervous  system.  As  a  result  they  thought 

don’t  go  anywhere.  The  BrainGATE  is  bypass  the  broken 

connection. 

 “Somatic  cell  genome  editing”  program

: 

Nowadays, 

more  people  are  born  with  genes  which  increase  the  risk  of 

death. The NIH  Common Fund established technologies which 

allow  “cut”  harmful  genes,  add  new  ones  and  turn  on  or  off 

existing  ones.  Unfortunately  this  procedure  cannot  give  us 

100% correct result yet.
