Ecommerce  is  a  business  field  that  deals  with 

transactions  conducted  online.  If  you  are  selling  or  buying 

anything  from  the  Internet  you  are  actually  involved  in 

ecommerce. There are a lot of new online store merchants who 

try to increase sales and acquire lots of customers, but they do 

not  know  where  to  start  and  how  to  deal  with.  One  of  the 

biggest  reasons  is  not  having  information  about  e-commerce 

terms.  There  are  some  e-commerce  terms  that  every  store 

merchant must know. 

1) A/B or “split testing” 

In  order  to  realize  better  and  more  productive  website, 

companies use two different versions of company’s website. It 

is known as A/B testing.

When  store  merchants  want  to  boost  their  sales,  they 

make  contract  with  online  publishers.  Online  publisher  shares 

their products, then they get paid per sale.  

3) B2B 

It  is  an  e-commerce  transaction  where  online  stores  sell 

products and services to businesses. 

4) Bundling 

It  is  the  process  of  creating  a  package  from  similar 

related goods and sell them at a lower price. 

5) Email marketing 

For boosting sales companies create email lists and send 

products through people’s interest  

6) Point-of-Sale 

It  is  the  process  of  adding  and  managing  products, 

accepting payments with the help of an application. 

7) Search Engine Optimization 

When  people  use  search  engine  bots  like  google,  they 

just  click  the  first  page  that  bot  found.  Search  Engine 

Optimization makes your website’s content easier for bots and 

increase your website’s rank. 

8) Shipping 

It  is  the  process  of  delivering  goods  from  the  seller’s 

warehouse to the buyer that are bought online.
