According to table5, the means of the experimental and control groups in pretest are very close in all
subscales, and there is no difference between them. The mean of the experimental group in posttest, has been more
than the mean of control group regarding the subscales of innovation and involvement. However, in the subscale of
cognitive maturity, there is not so difference.
3.2. Findings Related to Second Hypothesis
The second hypothesis of the study posited that there was a statistically significant difference in favour of the
experimental group between pre-test and post-test scores on academic engagement
compared to the control group.
