Teaching English to young learners will be fun!
Somewhere in the world, your efforts teaching English to children will make a huge difference.
Whether you teach ESL online or in-person, you can still use the same fun teaching methods, just slightly tweaked. For example, if you teach through your webcam, you can still encourage your student to participate in hangman and other writing games with their own small whiteboard or pen and paper. Have flash cards or memory games? With adult supervision and permission, your student can use the internet to view your shared screen or work on a game you created.
Another tip to remember: You don’t have to constantly come up with new teaching methods for young learners. If you find your students respond well and enjoy a set of games, go ahead and continue to use them!
You can always modify the content and difficulty of each round. And, once you find your teaching groove, you’ll have all your lesson plans and games sorted out to use for each new set of students.
