Common Faults of Machine Startup Control System
This machine, based on electric regulation control system, is designed with manual idle/rated switch,
oil 
pressure, water temperature, fuel oil level alarm system so as to protect the engine. The failures possibly 
related to design are analyzed as follows:

unit, which should be 12VDC.

Check by measuring the resistance 
between 1# and 2# pins of the 
speed control unit, which should be 
about 3Ω.

No feedback signal is 
given from the speed sensor. 
1. The resistance measured between 
3# and 4# pins of the speed control 
unit 
should 
be 
approximately 
400Ω.,replace speed sensor.

The speed sensor is 
improperly installed, with 
excessive gap.
The installation of the speed sensor 
should be such that it gets contact 
with gear top before it withdraws 
1/2 ~ 3/4 turns (about 0.45mm) 
which is the ideal gap. Re-adjust 
the gap between the speed sensor 
and gear top.

No voltage output is 
seen between the 1# and 2# 
pins of the speed control unit. 
The speed control unit is damaged; 
replace the faulty parts.

The actuator 
There is jamming phenomenon 
between the actuator and the 
linkage of the oil pump gear parts. 
check and adjust the oil pump.
Following the 
startup of the

Short-circuit the 11# and 12# pin of 
the speed control unit; the machine 
runs into the ‘rated speed’ operation 
as soon as it gets started. It means 
the speed control unit has failed.
