1.4 Safety-conscious Operation and Protection 
For the sake of your and other people's safety, you must observe the following precautions:
—— When working at damp environments, take appropriate insulating measures, such as 
insulated shoes, etc. 
—— Wear insulating gloves when welding.

—— Protect your eyes against UV harms by wearing welding masks. 
—— Wear protective clothes. 
—— Wear appropriate noise protectors where there is a high noise level. 
If others have to stay near welders when welding operations are in progress, you must:
—— Inform them of the associated dangers. 
—— Protect them with protective devices or other appropriate means. 
—— Set up protective barrier or provide curtain. 
1.5 Eliminate Welding Fume 
—— Take appropriate measures to eliminate all fumes and toxic gases from working chambers. 
—— Make sure the working areas are well ventilated. 
—— Take appropriate measures to isolate arc radiation. 
—— Protect against damage caused by welding spatters. 
—— Remove any flammable material from welding areas. 
—— Never weld on vessels containing gas, fuel and oil residues, Such welding operations can 
result in explosion danger. 
—— A safe area must be provided to deal with any emergent dangers. 
1.6 Prevent Electric Shock Caused by Grid Voltage and Welding Voltage 
—— The hazard of electric shock is very serious. Electric shock can endanger life.
—— A large current can generate a magnetic field, which will impair the functions of key electronic 
devices (for example, a heart pacemaker). For this reason, it is necessary to detect such 
magnetic field near working chambers before a person with heart pacemaker enters working 
chambers.
—— Make sure that all earth cables are properly connected, not damaged and absolutely insulated. 
Replace any loose connections or burnt cable immediately after such problems are found. 
—— The mains supply line and branch circuits must be checked by a qualified electrician at a regular 
interval to ensure normal operation of semi-conductor devices.
—— Before opening welder housings, absolutely make sure that the power supply to welders has 
been disconnected. Then, charging components can be removed.
—— If you have to work on welders when they is powered on, another person must be assigned to 
attend at the site so that he or she can switch off welders in case of emergency.
