Introduction
The year of 2017 has brought many changes to the economic, financial, banking and monetary spheres of Uzbekistan. With the election of new president, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on December 4, 2016 [ CITATION Ota16 \l 1033 ], new plans and approaches were set up to improve the stability of the economy, money, inflation and banking system of the country.
Therefore, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan (CBU) has started working on the stability of the national currency by implementing changes and additions to the law on “The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan” which stabilizes the internal market prices, undertakes the money-credit policy and improves the internal economy of the country. The main goals of the money-credit policy for 2017 included slowing the inflation rate down in accordance with Consumption Price Index (CPI), improving the foreign and internal investment, as well as widening the small and medium business sectors.
Current paper covers the main data and analysis of economy and monetary policy, inflation, internal and foreign investment data, and price changes for basic and commodity goods. In addition, the interest rate of loans, as well as the country money supply, money market, and foreign money exchange were thoroughly analyzed. By the end of the paper, the in-depth information in each areas mentioned above are given, and all the data and information regarding those topics were derived from Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Statistics as well as other trustworthy articles and websites.
