How can children learn to cooperate with each other?

I think that teachers and parents should encourage children to join in some group activities. For example, at school, teachers can give some group projects as homework, and students should do a bit of research and share their results together. I think it's quite easy for physics and chemistry teachers to organize some experiments where students must help each other. They will collaborate in order to get a good grade. Outside school, parents could sign their kids up for a sports team. Basketball and football are great team sports.
