For the homework, you are going to recommend and assess the impacts of changes to the tax code using the Virtual Chancellor economic model at http://www.virtual-worlds.biz/vwc/index.php
Think about what your ideal world would look like under your hypothetical tax system. Then you must use the tax code to accomplish your goals. You may change as many variables as you wish, but leaving the tax code alone is unacceptable, and you must make at least 5 changes, but you can make more than five changes if you want.
There are two main goals of this homework (1) use appropriate fiscal policy measures to steer the economy in the macroeconomic direction that you think it should go, and (2) use the tax code to achieve equity and efficiency, however you define them. For the macro goals, you must worry about what your tax and spending changes will do to GDP, unemployment, inflation, the deficit or surplus, and so on. For the micro goals, identify family winners and losers under your recommendations. Do not plagiarize as I will run the presentation through Anti-Plag.

This project could take a long time to do if you really want to go in depth and has been a group presentation in the past but this semester, it is not a presentation but a homework. Make some changes to the tax code. See what happens to the macroeconomy and the families in the microeconomy. How did you do? Assess your results. Will you be re-elected?????
