4.2 Demographics of participants 
A total of five face to face interviews with necessity immigrant 
entrepreneurs were conducted by keeping in view their distinct locations 
across Korea in order to add diversity in responses and experiences. The 
respondents who participated show the normal cases of the necessity 
immigrant entrepreneurs who belong to various age groups, locations, 
nationalities had different business sizes and various years of survival. The 
restaurants owned by the interviewees were offering various food cuisines 
and the price of their main course food had similar to no difference. The 
participants in the study had mixed demographic profiles that adds credibility 
to the results. The total five participants interviewed for this research were 
denoted as Case 1 to Case 5. They were the business owners who walked us

through their journey of surviving their businesses in Korea for minimum of 
three years, in the light of survival factors discussed in Chapter 2. In order 
to present the results, a brief description of each restaurant will be given in 
reference to Table 3.
