Daily routine
I am accustomed to getting up at 7 in the morning whereas everyone in my family is already awake at half past six. I wake a bit later because I stay up late doing my home assignments.
My weekdays are generally the same because I am always at school. However, I try to do different things at weekends. For example, I can hang out with my friends or we can go to the mountains with my family and so on.
I have a monotonous life-style. My daily routine starts with going to school and after which I go my extra English and math lessons. I come home at around 7 in the evening, have supper and get back to my studies.
I have never changed my routine over the last 2 years since I started preparing for university entrance exams. I just can`t skip my extra courses unless there is a serious emergency to do so.
Dictionaries
Yes, I use my electronic dictionary almost every day. Because I practice English every single day reading news and articles during my English lessons although I have to admit that now I am using less frequently day by day.
I mainly use my dictionary during my English reading sessions to look up unfamiliar words. Moreover, I can sometimes use Russian-English dictionary writing an IELTS essay to avoid grammar and stylistic errors.
It depends on your field of activity. For example, if you want to go on a holiday to foreign country, you must probably take a traveler`s dictionary whereas if you are preparing for some kind of exam, then you would better off using academic dictionaries.
Speaking from my personal experience, I believe it is vital that a language learner should use a dictionary in the course of learning a foreign language as it is the best way to expand vocabulary, learn collocations and develop better understanding skills.
Internet
Well, to be honest, I am an Internet addict because I use social networks every single day. I can even say that I live more in the virtual world rather than in the real one. Because the Internet is a source of information, entertainment and communication. I can`t imagine my life without going online even one day.
I usually use the Internet for communication. I have a number of friends and relatives who live abroad and we keep in touch through social networks. Moreover, I tend to read news and watch podcasts on the Internet, so it serves as a source of information. Last but not least, I like to surf on the Internet searching for movies, songs and funny videos on Youtube.
I usually access the Internet on my mobile phone when I am at school or when I am on a public transport. But I get online through my laptop when I am at home.
Personally speaking, there should some age restrictions on children using the Internet. I would never allow my children to use the Internet without my permission or supervision until they reach 16. Because I think that children`s unsupervised access to the Internet might subject them to online scams and watching inappropriate for them videos that might have dire negative consequences.
