What would you say are the main reasons people use the internet?

I  think  that  most  people  use  the  interest  to  com m unicate w ith  o th er 

people -  via email and social netw orking.  I also think th at shopping is 

a  very  popular  thing  to  do  online  -  you  can  get  everything  th a t  you 

need w ithout  having to leave the  house!

Do you agree with people who say the internet is addictive?

I think that certain aspects o f the internet can be addictive, especially 

socialnetworking sites as they are constantly updating and th ere  is al­

ways som eone who has always posted som ething new to look at.  So  it 

can take over your life a bit if you are constantly checking the website. 

I think that online games are m ore addictive, people can becom e com ­

pletely obsessed with them . Because they are playing with people from  

all over the world, there are people playing 24/7 and so  it can be hard 

for some to stop them selves from  playing constantly.
