Do you think the majority o f teachers are good at their jo b ?

To be honest, I think it is really hard to judge th e m ajority of teachers 

when I’ve only experienced a few!  From  w hat I’ve seen, though, it is a 

bit hit and miss - there doesn’t seem  to be a general standard of teach­

ing ability.

Teachers often complain about being overworked.  Do you agree?

O h  yes.  I  think  that  teachers  have  a  massive  am ount  of w ork  to  do! 

There is so much paperw ork involved nowadays, and th a t’s before you 

even  get  to  m arking  and  lesson  plans!  I  think  th at  teaching  is  a  very 

full-on job and perhaps a bit too m uch  is expected of teachers;  reduc­

ing  classes  sizes,  or  having  m ore  teachers  responsible  for  a  sm aller 

num ber of classes, might m ake  their w orkload  m ore  reasonable.
